For Phrase Frenzy Fans – An Update
Caught off guard? Yes. To say we were caught off guard by the response to our Phraze Frenzy portfolio page would be an understatement. We knew the game was extremely popular, but had no idea just how much the game community wanted it to return. You certainly made that very clear. 
So, we have decided to revive it under a new name, built on a completely new platform and we plan to launch it in Facebook. We added this to our production schedule just over two weeks ago and we’ve made significant progress, working it in among the other projects on our plate. We have made a ton of progress on the backend of the site, the stuff that is invisible to the user. We have a lobby, chat and some game functions working already. So, we’re well on our way.
Now, what should we call it?
We received some excellent suggestions in the comments and we want to get some of the ones we liked in front of you here.

When do you guys think you will have it up and running?
DAX, we’re still early in development, focusing on server architecture. We’ll have a better idea on timing once we get into hard core game programming. Those of you following along will be certain to be part of the beta.

I am so excited for this. Keep us posted on the programming. I used to play this all the time with my friend. Even though I wasnt as fast at getting answers it was so addicting and I loved the game. Thanks for bringing it back.
You are bringing back phrase frenzy, but not lingo!!? WHAT IS THIS!? There were MANY more responses for lingo. I don’t understand guys? Why are you ignoring the pleas for lingo when that was on your table LLoong before phrase was. Phrase was a cool game and all, and, i was sorry to see it go also ,but, let’s be real. Lingo was a MUCH more popular game. What gives guys? I would just like to know.

To be clear: We never said we weren’t going to bring Lingo back. What we have said is that we’re building Phrase Frenzy first.

omg music How is it going. I have not seen you in ages and hello all phrase lovers I just found out that the game is being created. I hope that all is well with all you leaguers and non leaguers. I hope that if this game is created, we could possibly revive my league that we had running for a good two years with Jeff’s consent. I sure hope this succeeds. I hope that we have a return

i just thought you guys had forgot about us lingo refugees. i hope a new lingo will come close after. sorry for any misunderstanding. just PLEASE, keep us apprised.i feel i am stuck in “lingo limbo”

I ditto this statement…I do not have a Facebook account but after following these threads and seeing that Phrase Frenzy is coming back, I will have to sign up. Facebook should hire you as promoters
Thank you for relieving my secret pain inside that has been aching since the loss of this fantastical little creation of a game.
Looking forward to the younger, prettier version that’s going to make old phrase frenzy cry alone in the dark.

Wiliam and Derek, we’d love to be able to answer that question with some degree of certainty, but we can’t. We are building this during the cracks in our other production schedules. When we get closer, we’ll certainly let you know! Thank you for your continued interest.

Ahhh!! i just signed into my gsn account for the first time in a couple of years. and this game popped into my head and i totally wanted to play right away! sadly i found out it wasn’t there anymore. i want this game now! hahah
