it’s nice being on a college campus. you meet all sorts of people. My roommate is even a computer science gaming major, so he knows all about coding online games. He has a few other friends also, I am going to talk to them about possibly making a lingo game. They’re really smart people. I’ll see what they can come up with. Take care all.
Hey everyone. Just being a die hard Lingo Fan. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Looking forward to a good Christmas. What’s the latest word on our Lingo? It’s been a very long time that we have been waiting. Is this project dead in the water? Even after all this time, I miss my Lingo lobby, the game and my Lingo friends. So where’s a status report? I just had someone ask me today if I knew of any progress with getting a Lingo game back up. So it is not a dead issue to us.
Every time I see a comment update from my email on either phrase frenzy or lingo plus, I take a peek, already aware of the fact that it probably will never come back. So far, I have yet to see any update of improvement on the development of either one of these great games. It’s still awesome to hear from Lingo’ers that I have not communicated with in years, but it still isn’t comparable to participating in the game. If I were to simply see one of these games return, I would be ecstatic. I’m not really saying this to persuade Jeff to speed up the game, because I really just don’t think he will up the tempo simply because of a few users “chomping at the bit”. It would of course be nice to possibly hear an update on one of these games every once in awhile, simply so we can be privy to any advancement or lack of advancement. On a sidenote, it’s amusing to see Jedi and his witty comments, (not to mention his capitilization of 5 LW’s). If you continue to troll Lingo and Phrase Frenzy blogs, maybe they will give in at some point Jedi . SueG, it’s always great to see you’re still loyal to the Lingo cause. Anyways, Jeff, I think we all (even Jedi) understand that you are swamped with pressing projects. All of the Lingo and Phrase Frenzy fans that keep entreating you for answers are simply die hard players that are impatiently eager for the arrival of these games. I’m hoping that you could possibly prioritize one of these two games, simply because of the prodigious amount of feedback these blogs have attracted. Although I have not looked at your blogs for any other games, I think it is a fair statement to make that these two games have lured a substantial amount of comments. If you are unable to deem it necessary to revive one of these games (which is my guess), I’ll continue reading comments, scoping out anybody I remember. I think I’ll find time outside of my preparations for college. Peace out all!!

Maybe Jeff will shift from giving us “tenable” reasons for not progressing upon our games to devoting some strong effort into it. Until then, I’ll continue to read your jocular comments; they always give me a kick. It looks like Jeff has diminished his justifications quite a bit, though. I think he’s realized how superfluous they are. We all understand that game designing is a pressing job. I actually really respect the devotion to the site. It’s not going to lessen our eagerness though.

Lingo has been gone for over two years now, which also means that you are two years older than before. You should have developed some maturity by this point.
A lot of us receive these e-mail updates everytime there is a new comment in this forum in hopes that Zeek has made some announcement, and although I can’t vouch for anyone else, it is safe to say that I do not want to see my e-mail inbox loaded with your rudeness and language.
The good people at Zeek are busy working on projects that they get PAID for. We are asking them to spend many hours redesigning and updating an old game for FREE. They have priorities and we have to respect that.
If we are fortunate enough to some day have Lingo back (even if we have to pay for a membership) then that would be awesome. This demanding that they bring our game back is childish. Grow up and show some respect !!

Hi, I was a hardcore leaguer like many of you guys but I’ve grown up now, so I’m going to give you my honest opinion. First of all, if you are still waiting for the ressurection of lingo then I pity you. It was two years ago for goodness sakes! Sure it was fun while it lasted but the only reason a lot of you want lingo back is to “pretend” you are at least good at something. So for some of you lingo is just an ego booster which can only be attained in the virtual realm, how sad. Think about it, why is it that all of the “GOOD” players want like back? How fun is the game actually if you KNOW all of the words because of silly triggers everyone has! With that said, lingo was only fun because you feel your the best with 10 hours a day of practice of course. Moving up in ranks and standings, getting winning streaks…all of that is an ego booster! Now everyone please move on with their lives; I am two years older and I now realize the importance of having a social life and not letting a game (that use to have a significant impact) affect my mood, my confidence and my ego. The fact that my world revolved around this game is just pathetic but thank god I’m not glued to the computer screen anymore. Anyways, take care all and have a Happy New Year .

As an ex lingo leaguer who loved your league, I am not at all opposing what you are saying, but I can definitely understand why some comments would appear hyperbolic or over the top. They are just some ex- lingo players who need their game back. It probably would be proper to keep the criticisms constructive but I personally think that the right thing to do by the site administrators would be to at least give us a time frame. That’s just me. Even if they are totally unaware of how long it will take, it would be nice to know that it could take a very long time. We all appreciate the volunteer work they are putting in to help bring back a game that we all are familiar with, but it still won’t change our ardent passion for the game. I hope that if it does come back, you can get the league back and running. And if Phrase comes back, maybe that league can be reconvened as well. Happy New Year’s everyone.

I see now that it looks like Lingo Plus will never be brought back. This will be my last post in this forum. I wish all of my Lingo Plus friends the best of luck in life. Word has came out that GSN is creating new episodes of Lingo with a new host starting in June!! Maybe this means that we are one step closer to getting our game back?
