I must be incredibly dense or too new to the Mac world to understand. I don’t see how to use anything as a template. I even went so far as to find a Mac stationery that would suffice, changed the “top.jpg” but can not figure out how to make the whole thing work. Can anyone help the 20+year MS user…. PLEASE!

I tried my logo but it only shows the middle third of the logo, like it is being masked. Any ideas? If you would like I can send you the stationery to show you what I mean. Thanks again.

“The logo will look best if you save it at 175 pixels wide by 132 pixels high, though you can resize this and position it as you would any other photo.”

I would like to add my logo but it is actually about 3 times as wide relative to the same height (~550 X 140 pixels). Can I do that with this logo. Thanks!

As stated on the other thread (http://www.technosanity.com/2007/10/27/editing-mac-mail-stationery):

Note that users may not wish to modify the:

/Library/Application\ Support/Apple/Mail/Stationery/Apple/Contents/Resources/

…location (starting from the root of the hard drive) with their own creations, but instead should place custom entries within their own home folder, at the following path:

~Library/Application\ Support/Mail/Stationery/Apple/Contents/Resources/

(where “~” represents your home folder).

This way, they will be more-easily portable via Migration Assistant, are directly a part of this single user’s environment (so a problem won’t modify behavior for any other users on the system), etc. This user-specific path is created for you if you use Mail’s “File -> Save as Stationery…” command.

Hi my name is Noel Smith, I’m a Tae Bo instructor in the UK and I have just purchased a macbook. I am just discovering the new features on Leopard. I often email my clients and was glad when I saw templates in Mail. However they are very PCish and cannot be used for my business. So I was more than interested when I went onto your website and saw that you have alternative templates. However I have downloaded these templates and cannot import them into mail. Please can you tell me how to do this. Thanks very much and keep up the good work.

After I upgraded to 10.5.1 my mail stationery disappeared. I hoped they’d return with the 10.5.2 upgrade but they didn’t. It would seem I’m not alone. Today I finally found where they’re supposed to be, after I bought a package of templates from equinux.

Here’s the route: User>Library>Application>Support>Mail>Stationery>Apple>Contents>Resources.

Heather, no the locations should be the same. I haven’t had a chance to double check that, but nothing has changed about the app since the upgrade to 10.5.

I am having trouble with these downloads and locating where to put them. I’m on the 10.5 version and wondering if the stationary locations are somewhere different..??

if you want it to show correctly, you have to change the ID of the stationery…

I got the logo stationery working fine now. Even though I have put the white ones in the same place they show up as the original Doodle if I double click on them and they don’t show up in Choose stationery in Mail at all. How come they’re not white and don’t integrate with mail as the logo one?

I just wont give up on theese …

I tried to download the template that have 2 white stationery and I always get the same template on my mail , besides I can not save it as stationery I can only save it as draft .

is there any site for user created stationery or you can download stationery besides the equinux stationery site.
