Liquid Web delivers purpose-built hosting for mission critical sites, stores, and apps and industry-leading technical support from the The Most Helpful Humans In Hosting™. Their groundbreaking high-performance Managed WooCommerce Platform has given store owners tools to improve load time, reduce query loads, increase capacity, capture lost revenue with abandoned cart technology, and run performance tests.
Zeek Interactive partnered with Liquid Web to build a new WooCommerce Resource Center for the open source eCommerce space.
The company wanted to aggregate all of their eCommerce knowledge and resources in one place to create a valued resource for store owners and store builders to learn about building sites with WooCommerce and managing WooCommerce stores, discover what’s possible, and find tips to improve and grow WooCommerce sites. The challenge was that it needed to be built within the context of the existing Liquid Web website platform, which meant working with their existing theme and internal tools.
DESIGN: While our design team can create stunning website responsive designs, often our clients have a design team in place or a design already done and are looking for a development partner they can trust to bring their design to life. Liquid Web came to Zeek with the basic Resource Center design completed. We worked closely with their design team to finalize the details and bring the design to life across all device sizes.
CMS: WordPress is an open-source, user-friendly content management system that allows the Liquid Web marketing team to manage the Resource Center and all of its content and media without needing to edit code or engage a developer.
BEAVER BUILDER: Beaver Builder is the only WordPress page builder Zeek uses. It is highly extensible and intuitive and easy for clients to use, and it is the only one built with performance and scale in mind, only loading the minimum code needed per page.
COLLABORATION: At Zeek, we believe our best work is the result of close collaborations with clients. From strategic planning and design to engineering and ongoing support, we often work alongside or integrate seamlessly with internal and third-party teams to support our clients. While Zeek managed the Liquid Web project, we worked with the marketing team to understand the internal publishing workflow, the structure and organization of published content, how taxonomies would work, and the best way to display the content in the right places for visitors. We also assisted in the management of content, moving existing blog posts to the new knowledge center and handling the canonical links.
