Aaron Holbrook has been building websites since the 90s. He quickly found a passion for early web technologies and fell in love with the ease of creating and building things.
After earning a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Augustana College, Aaron became the webmaster for a hospital. After spending 5 years managing content, he realized that his true passion was in the making of things and in solving interesting problems.
Aaron’s accomplishments include building and maintaining websites of large and well known companies all over the world, contributing to the core of WordPress, open sourcing multiple plugins and PHP packages and being one of the creators of the popular ElasticPress plugin.
Aaron loves teaching and in the past few years has given talks at WordPress events around the country, including Milwaukee, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Providence, Orlando and Orange County. Aaron founded a local meetup group and has even helped organize WordCamp Chicago multiple times.
